Four Sixes Horse Rides
A standalone booking app for ranch rides — built as its own product, embedded straight into the Shopify storefront.
Problem
Shopify sells products well. It does not model horseback rides with time slots, rider counts, waivers, and wranglers. The ranch needed real booking software — without leaving the storefront their customers already use.
Approach
Build the booking system as its own application, then embed it into the Shopify site through a custom Liquid section. The store stays the front door; the app does the work behind it.
Build
A Next.js booking flow backed by Supabase — ride selection, party details, scheduling, and confirmation emails via Resend — with end-to-end tests in Playwright covering the paths that touch money and reservations.
Taught
The ranch team manages rides and reservations from the same place they manage everything else. The seams don't show; that was the point.
